The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) is chaired by Dr. Itescu, and assists the Company's scientific, clinical and regulatory teams with protocol development, clinical trial strategies, and scientific direction. The Company's SAB is composed of internationally acknowledged leaders in the fields of stem cell biology, tissue regeneration, blood vessel growth, cardiovascular medicine, bone and cartilage disease, and diabetes. The Company's research is performed on an outsourced basis at laboratory facilities of major US and international university and institutional facilities such as Columbia University , University of Pennsylvania , and the Texas Heart Institute. This enables continuity and facilitates cross-fertilization and access to the highest caliber of academic expertise and technology. The scientific development programs are directed by Dr. Itescu with guidance provided by the eminent clinicians and scientists forming the SAB as well as external consultants.
